Overview

The ITR9608 is made up of NPN silicon phototransistor and infrared emitting diode enclosed on converging optical axis in black thermoplastic case.

The phototransistor receives radiation from the IRED only but when an object is between the phototransistor, it can’t detect any radiation.

Applications include non-contact switching, floppy disk driver, mouse copier, switch scanner, and more.
